In the beginning, I mainly worked on tasks like repacking, inbound, and labeling. The transportation is also super convenient thanks to the M-bus app. There is a direct bus from Dampoort Station—a lifesaver for quickly picking up an extra workday.
I’m given a lot of responsibilities here and receive great guidance. The fact that I can count on Katoen Natie throughout the year as a student employee is a big plus for me.
What I enjoy most about my student job at Katoen Natie is the variety of tasks and learning new skills—all within the flexibility of my school schedule and over a longer period. And the pay is pretty good too!
Sometimes I work with other students, but I also get a lot of independent tasks. Every week, I submit my availability online to my temp agency, and then I receive my schedule for the following week.
Next week, I will start working as an administrative assistant at the technical department.
